How Does eRecording Work?
Our application sits on the Internet, electronically facilitating document transactions between the submitting organization and your county recording system.
Draft Status
A new transaction begins in the draft status, where all data and documents are captured or created for a transaction. County requirements are applied based on the type of transaction and required information. Electronic documents are generated and electronic signatures are captured during this step to complete recording preparation.
Sent Status
Once the transaction is ready, the user changes the status to “Sent to Recorder”. This step further validates the transaction based on the target county requirements. Any issues are displayed and reported to the submitter for correction prior to delivery at the county. eRecording creates the electronic recording package and submits it to the county system for processing to complete this step.
Recorded
Upon completion of the recording process at the county, the recorded electronic package will be returned to eRecording. The submitter will be able to view, print, or export the recorded documents and endorsement data at this point. The receipt and accounting information is also available to export to the submitters accounting and reconciliation system.
Accuracy
eRecording is designed to detect errors prior to sending the transaction to the county. If an error is detected at the county, the county will return a “Reject” to eRecording, and the submitter will be able to view and correct the rejection online, for rapid return to the county. |
