Each month, the ACS advanced image conversion laboratory converts millions of pages of digitized images to archival microfilm for hundreds of state, county, and municipal governments across the United States.

Microfilm to Image
The ACS design lab produces images from microfilm for the customer. ACS can process a variety of film types, including roll film, microfiche, aperture cards:

  • ACS can match images to index database
    More images are made available for system viewing

Microfilm Storage
Protected from all outside elements and watched by armed guards, ACS offers the best method available for the safe storage of precious microfilm underground. Our facility meets ANSI archival standards.

Paper to Image
ACS receives historical documents in paper form and utilizes high-speed scanners to produce high-quality digitized images, conforming to state and county standards. This formatting includes, but is not limited to: TIFF, JPEG, and PDF:

  • Images are accessible for Internet searching as well as on ACS systems
  • ACS can match images to index databases
  • On-site book and document scanning services
  • Film creation from image
